Seriously, where do they get the gall to call me up at work and tell me I have to work out a payment plan right then and there when I'm busy and claim I'm refusing to pay when I ask for validation. What a joke.

There is nothing illegal about them calling you at work....you have to tell them straight out that you are NOT permitted calls at work...only then would they be violating the FDCPA.
If you want validation, you must do it in writing per the FDCPA.

Oh, I told them that I couldn't receive phone calls at work during the conversation. I also told her that they had a DV letter in the mail and that I wasn't paying a cent until they received it and I received my validation. I had no problem until she got rude and was claiming I refused to pay. No I didn't at all.
Don't worry about it. "refusal to pay" is just a thing they say
