So, I finished up creating my DV letter to send off to National Credit Adjusters concerning an account from LoanPointUSA that they had purchased. They want to charge me $1000 and have given me no paperwork showing how they got that number. I hadn't gotten a chance to send it out yet...but low and behold, some lady from NCA calls up my job today looking for me. I'm a waiter and we had just opened the doors and I had three tables to greet when someone told me I had a call. I picked it up quick and it was NCA. She told me where she was from and that she was looking to collect on the LoanPoint account. I told her that I was at work and I was busy and that I didn't have time to chat. I put her on hold, greeted my tables and went back into the restaurant office and picked up. She said I had to work out a deal today or the account would be sent to the courts. I told her I wasn't paying a cent until NCA validated the debt for me and that the debt they were trying to collect on was illegal in Florida. The lady got all huffy with me and got loud and said "I'll take that as a refusal to pay" and hung up on me.

Seriously, where do they get the gall to call me up at work and tell me I have to work out a payment plan right then and there when I'm busy and claim I'm refusing to pay when I ask for validation. What a joke.

Oh, I told them that I couldn't receive phone calls at work during the conversation. I also told her that they had a DV letter in the mail and that I wasn't paying a cent until they received it and I received my validation. I had no problem until she got rude and was claiming I refused to pay. No I didn't at all.
