HELP! Im in the middle of a refi on my home & this damn judgement comes up from Palisades! from 2006! I was never sent anything to go to court... or know anything for that matter on this debt they "say" i owe! To boot... the attorneys name on the judgement is disconnected & theres not fwd info for their office at all! How in the hell do you handle something like this.... and FAST!?! Thank you!!!!

Go to the county court office and check the status of the case. You may not have received the court papers due to some postal disorder or for some other reason. If a judgment order has been issued against you, then you need to pay it. But since you are saying that you didn't have a clue about it, so you may appeal to the court to vacate the judgment.

Is there a creditor the debt matches up with? Have you called Pallisades, the owner of the debt? The attorney only files the judgment,,,they dont necessarily own it.
