Do you still have the settlement offer letter? A copy of that and a copy of a paid check or paid money order (a money order receipt is NOT proof...you would have to go thru the issuing agent and get a copy of the paid money order) should shut them up. With this proof, send them a cease and desist.

Take the cashier's check stub (your copy) to the bank where you got it. they will be able to give you a copy of the canceled check. That's what you'll need to send in with you letter. And save a copy for your files, should you need it again in the future.

Thanks. I will do that. It seems strange that they would not have cashed the check by now, it was dated 2-26-11. I talked to them on the day they wanted the check to make sure that they got it and they had it on the 27th. I have not heard from them since they got their money.
