You haven???t mentioned the name of the company. I guess it???s a scam. You need not to worry regarding this matter. If they call you back, then ask them to stop making phone calls to you, otherwise you will take a legal action against them. You can also file a complaint against them to the State Attorney General or FTC. Don???t share any personal information with them.

Why are you assuming it is a scam??? Most agencies, including the reputable ones use dialers. They call until they get a hit, then the call is transfer to a live collector.
You cannot just "tell" them to stop calling you. The FDCPA states you must do it IN WRITING...you cannot take legal action unless you follow the procedures.

The poster hasn't even spoken to the caller.
Here's my advice. Answer the phone next time they call and ask them what they want!

Thanks for the reply. I thought it is a scam since no body was giving any answer from the other end. The poster has picked up the phone several times but the caller has not given an answer a single time.
Which means it's highly likely an auto-dialer is making the call
Which means it's highly likely an auto-dialer is making the calls. It could very well be a scam but, we won't know until the OP actually talks to someone and determines why they're calling.
