It's likely your lenders were unlicensed/illegal anyway and these are idle threats.

If you don't want your credit marked up, make arrangements with the online lenders to pay your principle and make your own schedule. If you can only pay 50 bucks a month, then that's what they will get. If they won't make arrangements with you, ignore them and eventually they will go away. Most of these places are either operating without a license in your state, or overseas. Either way, if this is the case, they cannot and will not sue you.
