Help with 8 payday loans

500fastcash - $200
CashCure - $500
Yellowdale.com - $200
La Posta Tribal - $200
Tribal Lending - $200
Sigma Solutions - $200
Four Seasons - $170
Zip19.com - $200
That is what I remember off the top of my head. Some of the loan amounts might be slightly different, but this is very close. I know we have supposedly paid off zip19, Sigma solutions, and four seasons, and setup 500fastcash to take out principal+interest payment for the whole amount in about 10 days when my wife gets paid again. But the rest are in varying states of payment. First off we dont have contact info for some of these places, like Tribal Lending and La Posta Tribal, but if we could somehow get emails/phones for all these places that would be great. Also, how should we proceed with getting the loan companies to drop the interest since it sounds like that is what is illegal? We really need help as we have no clue how to proceed in getting these taken care of. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

OK, first things first.
You CANNOT trust 500fastcash. You need to close your account and open a new one that is in no way linked to the old one.
Secondly, none of these lenders are licensed to lend in your state. You do NOT have to pay them interest/fees.
Check your statements and figure out what you've already paid. You should only repay the principal balance of the loan. If you've already paid that amount, or over that amount, you're done. If you've overpaid, ask for a refund.
You need to file complaints with the FTC and your state's Attorney General.
Your account will never be safe again. You need to close it.

Ok, thank you for your response, we were already talking about closing our account and having another opened. That will be done. But when you say, "If you have already paid the prinicipal then you are done." How do I go about letting the payday loan companies know that and that Im not about to pay any more? Also, how do I go about requesting refunds for the overages? Do those refunds come from my bank or the payday loan lenders? Because I dont see them actually refunding my money.
Would it be smart to go into my bank and talking with someone, laying out the entire situation and working with them? to see what they have to say about this?
Also, would it be possible for my bank to reverse OD fees related to the improper charges that some of them have done?

Hi, I was just reading through that sample letter to send to the payday loan companies. Where it says Acct# at the top. That is the account number of the loan? Or my checking account number that they are charging?
Also, what is the best way to find emails for these companies? As it sounds like I will need those once I really start the process.

That's your payday loan account number. If you don't know it, provide another means of identification for the account (e.g. last 4 of the ss#, name, address, phone number, etc.).
You can do a search here for contact info. You can also find the PDLs website and look for contact info there. If all else fails, you can wait for them to contact you (which they definitely will) after they realize they can't get at your money :) And, when I get home, I'll see what I can find for you as well.

Does your checking account statement show any other info (e.g. names, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) for these? There should be something listed on the same line as the debit.
Yea I have some of the phone numbers from my online statements.
Yea I have some of the phone numbers from my online statements. But I was under the impression that once we start the process we should only communicate via email and ignore all phone calls basically. Is that correct? So I guess the next step would be to email the template to at least those 3 that I have emails for now and then maybe just reply to the rest once they inevitably attempt to contact me?
Also, it sounds like I should send something to the FTC and AG correct? Where would I find those emails and templates? And should I send a seperate email to them for each of the 8 PDL's?
I would call and ask for an email address or physical address.
I would call and ask for an email address or physical address. If they won't give it to you, then yes. Wait for them to contact your wife via email (believe me, they will). They'll also call her 18 times per day at home and at work :)

I have a question about wage garnishment. I just got off the phone with HR here at my work and ADP the wage garnishment company that we use here. The short of it is is that they will push through any garnishment order they receive from courts or a collection agency. Im rather scared because we all know how smart these people are and they most likely have official seeming collection agencies that they employ to strongarm consumers.
Im wondering how do I go about making HR and ADP aware that these people are ILLEGAL and the garnishments shouldnt go through. Or is it unlikely that the PDL's would successfully be able to apply a wage garnishment. It just seems like there is no checks and balances to keep these PDL's from garnishing my or my wifes wages.
First of all, there won't be any garnishments from the court.
First of all, there won't be any garnishments from the court.
Secondly, the only thing that they can try to use is a wage assignment. Wage assignments are voluntary and must be signed in person. Yours wasn't signed in person so it's not valid. Even if it was valid, since it's a voluntary assignment, it can be revoked, by you, at any time.
Include the revocation language in your emails/letters and give a copy of those to your HR department. If they push through a voluntary assignment after you've revoked it and given them documentation to prove so, they'll be sorry they did.
