Has anyone on here gone through a debt settlement program for their payday loan debt?? the company is called oak view law group and how did it work out??

Hi,

I used them. It ended up costing me a lot more money. I had two
loans and two payday loans. One loan I settled for the same amount
the other, I got a small reduction, and paid it. The other two, I am STILL
paying off. After a couple months I find out the payday loan Advance America, DOES NOT work with
debt companies.(Which I thought OVLG should have known up front)
and the other ended up going to a lawyer who tacked on about 800 for his fees. They could NOT do what they promised. Save your money,
work with them directly, you'll save money in the long run,. You end up just paying the debt service MORE money and take a change on it not working for you. Put that money toward your balances.

Payday lending is considered legal in Utah. Since most of the payday lenders in your state are legal, so you are required to pay them the principal along with the interest. If you are in a financial crisis to repay your full debts, then you may enroll in a payday loan debt settlement program which will help you to reduce your debt by certain amount. On the other hand, you can get rid of the debt by paying the illegal lender only the principal amount. If you have paid them more than the principal, then ask them for the refund
