Allen Adkins was awarded a judgement against me... I went to court, tried to dispute but judge still slammed the gavel and said "Judgement awarded." Anyway, I have been making small payments but I was wondering if they do a bank levy can they attach it to a MINOR bank account that has me as the guardian? My son is 16 and I had to put my name on his account since he is under 18 and I would HATE that they could do something to that. Please advise.

Sorry.... I forgot to add I am in Texas.

They can levy any bank account with your name on it to fulfill a judgment. If you can prove the funds aren't yours or aren't legally able to be seized, you could have it reversed, but I suggest you avoid that altogether.

Is there an adult family member whose name can go on the account instead of yours? Grandmother? Father?
