I have been reading thins forum for a few days. I have several outstanding payday loans in floridI just want to make sure I'm right before I stir a hornets nest. I'm only liable for the principle if it's an illegal lender right? My lenders are mycashnow, Ameriloan, cutter group, and.bottom dollar payday loan. All of these are illegal from my research.

I will be closing my accounts tomorrow should I retain a lawyer?

Wait. Did someone else use your account info? Is this identity theft we're talking about? Do you know who it is?

Originally, you said "you" have several payday loans. So, we assumed they were yours.

If this is identity theft, you need to file a police report and yes, you may want to get a lawyer to sue the person who misused your account.

It's not an identity theft issue. I closed my account today sent revocation letters to the lenders I could find email addresses for, but am having a hard time pinpoint My Cash Now. Anyone know of an email address or fax number for them. Apparently they have several false addresses so I'm not sure where to send the last letter.

I wish it was that easy. Be prepared for the onslaught of calls, as I know from personal experience that Ameriloan will call you to death.
I don't think you need an attorney yet. But what you do need to do since these PDL's are internet is report them to the state and the FTC. It would also be interesting to check with the state and see if any of these lenders are actually banned--not just that they are illegal, but are banned from doing business there.
Again, I really think you can do most of this yourself, but if you are still having problems, then speak with an attorney.
