How can I find out for sure? EZ Loans was the most intrusive, the day I was due she called to remind me and I didn't answer my cell phone because I was working. So immediately she called my work, and all 3 of my references. She has done this several times, I finally had to tell my references to tell her that the best they could do was let me know if they spoke to me, and that they didn't want her to contact them again. Right after I signed for the loan, she was joking and telling stories about how she has gone to people's work to try and get them to pay, or how she would call over and over in a row as many times as she had to for someone to pick up. On the first day she tried to get ahold of me, by the time I could step away from my desk to call her back, besides contacting all of my references, I had two missed calls from numbers I didn't know. When I tried to call them back no one answered, with no name on the voicemails (just a long pause) and wouldn't let you leave a message. I don't think I can prove it, but I have a gut feeling it was her. Then all of the sudden she was the first to offer me a EPP. Her mood completely changed from threatening and overbearing, to nice and understanding... It just makes me uncomfortable!

You'll need to call your state financial regulator to find that out. Those types of tactics have to be against some kind of state law.
