Keep getting calls from 336-522-8998 , no message and no name on caller ID. Thanks

It's CitiCard. I have a Citicard, but have never been late, pay more than the minimum. Not sure why they call they don't leave a message. I have none of their other cards which are:

Associated Bank Credit Card
ADA Credit Card
Bloomingdale's Credit Card
CITGO Credit Card
ExxonMobil MasterCard??
Hilton HHonors?? Visa?? Signature Card
Macy's Credit Card
Phillips 66??-Conoco??-76TM MasterCard??
Phillips 66??-Conoco??-76TM Platinum MasterCard??
Sears Card
Shell MasterCard?? from Citi Cards??
Sunoco?? MasterCard
The Home Depot

Has to be a sales card. If it was he fraud department they would leave a message and ask you to call them back. I have had that call before. Probably trying to sell some new service they have.

this number does belong to citicard but they own several different credit card portfolios not just sears but one of them is sears. this could be a call concerning another type of cc account. I was a victim of identity theft and I used to never answer these calls until I figured out I was a victim...now I answer all calls. if this is a collector or telemarketer. I ask for the persons name, ID # and then tell them to take this number out of the "dialer", I will be following up with a letter to the attorney general. Works every time but I also have peace of mind if it is another instance of theft. I always pull my credit report after receiving several from one company jsut to make sure nothing fishy is going on with my credit report.

IF you are getting a lot of calls from the number, there is a way aside from trying to battle them.
1) Attorney General is not likely to help -- more likely commerce department from your state.
2) If you owe no debt, contact https://www.ftc.gov/ with your complaint.
3) Send a Cease and Desiste notice, via certified mail. (It will still take days to get there, you'll have to put up with calls awhile longer.
4) File a complaint with the FCC about "Dead Air" or "War dialing" calls.
5) Keep written Records. Dates, times, numbers...if you have caller ID, especially.
6) Try a telezapper.
7) Debts over 7 years are past SOL. Uncollectable.

If all else fails, you can try "Spoofing" your name...but it will probably backfire. You could call yourself by the name of that little Austrian Hamlet at 12 degrees East. Be sure to pronounce it correctly, though. Errors will be caught.

This is an auto-dialed landline phone number for a contractor working for Citigroup relating to debt collection and late payments, not solicitations. They will not leave a name or message.

I was getting numerous calls from this number as well, and finally called them myself, and an agent answered, "Citicards, what is your account number?" I said you tell ME since you're the one who's calling. She delved for personal information, which I did not give.

I just received a call from this number and an agent was already on the line asking for my ex-wife by name. When I asked what company she was calling from, she said Citibank. I know my ex is in serious debt (none of which I am responsible for). My ex used to use my salary to obtain credit. I think I'd better contact the credit reporting agencies to see if she has continued to do so. This may explain why my credit rating has gone down, when I know I used to have a score of over 750, and one of my CC's which used to give me my credit score on a monthly basis, showed it was sliding month by month. I chalked it up to the bad economy somehow.

This company has sent me credit card offers and I will have none of it. I am done with credit cards. The Banking sector has lost a huge margin of its profits from people that have filed bankruptcy or torn up their credit cards, getting tired of the usury rates of 24%. The credit card collecting agencies are going out of business because there is so few left to call. This company has been calling me asking for sombody else because I refused their extortion credit card offer. The U.S. is entirely bankrupt, China will not accept another round of QE, because the American dollar is worthless. Stop using credit cards, End the FEDERAL RESERVE, we just sold 60% of the NYSE to Germany, the greedy bankers are cleaning us out of our country. Watch zeitgeist addendum on youtube

Thank goodness my ringer was off, for a number of days, I got repeated calls from (336) 522-8999 & (336) 522-8998. They left messages of "Nothing" (blank) so i called them back. It has something to do with a car company (I forgot details) asking me a name of someone who I have NO IDEA who they are. This had been going on from 3-29-2011 till 4-6-2011. I need to change my outgoing message!!!
