If they call you again, ask for the supervisor and strictly tell him to remove your name from the list. Are you registered with Do Not Call registry?

You need to make one move and all the credit offers from different companies will stop coming to your place. Contact the credit bureau and enable the opt out feature in your file. Once it is activated, the credit companies will stop placing offers to you.

It seems to be promotional call. If the company is newly launched, chances are they have collected phone # in a random basis and started calling people. They might collect contact # from local directory or some other places.
However, as tt said, the risk of ID theft is also there; keep a close eye on your credit report and bank account statement. IMO, do not panic right now.
Brat, Donotcall registration expires after a certain period, probably after 5 years and it does not stop all the telemarketing calls. You can call Donotcall.gov and inquire about these numbers as well.

These jerks also called my husband at work every hour yesterday and he had about enough and told Bruce that this is harassment and he is going to file a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Finance and the Attorney General and Bruce stated that it will take 48 hours for our number to be removed from the auto dialer and if we get anymore calls to ignore them and please do not file any complaints. Hubby asked for proof of the application and Bruce stated that they are not allowed to send out this information. What a crock!
