I currently have multiple PD loans in Florida. I need to get out of this cycle!!! What can I do?
Here are a list of the loans and I need to know if they are legal in Florida.

What is the best way to get out of this situation?

At first, you need to find
At first, you need to find out whether or not all the lenders are legal in Florida.
If they are legal you need to pay the principal amount including the interest.
If they are not legal in your state, ten just pay them only the principal amount that you owe and get rid of them.
As per my research, Plain Green, Great Plains, and One click cash are illegal. So, pay them only the principal amount that you owe. Rest I am not sure. If there are legal, you have to pay them back.
As Goodnelly advised, do not
As Goodnelly advised, do not pay more than the principal amount. If they are still bugging you, file complaints with your state’s Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and your state’s financial regulatory authority.
Thanks for the help everyone.
Thanks for the help everyone. So when they call me, should I tell them the same as in the letter? Should I ask to speak to a supervisor? Or should I just ignore the calls? They are calling non-stop!!
**I started the process of closing my bank account and sent a couple email letters and haven't gotten any responses as of yet. I sent those a couple days prior to writing this post.
Thanks,
Eric
Inform the illegal pdl
Inform the illegal pdl lenders that you won't give more than the principal amount.
UPDATE: Received an e-mail
UPDATE: Received an e-mail from Sierra Lending stating that my loan was paid in full and that they would be sending me a letter acknowledging that, this week. One down, six to go!! Yippee!!!
I followed the instruction
I followed the instruction for illegal lenders for my 2 tribal loans. One of them sent me a paid in full letter and the other agreed to take my remaining balance of principal of $114 in money order. I sent it last week and am waiting for paid in full letter from them. Follow the instructions for your illegal lenders. It works!
@Eric let me know what
@Eric let me know what happens with Money Lion. They have not been easy to work with.
ANOTHER UPDATE: One Click
ANOTHER UPDATE: One Click Cash sent me a settlement offer but I don't think I'm going to take it since I have already paid back the principal on the loan. Got a call from Great Plains and Plain Green and informed both that I would not be making any additional payments to them. They notated the accounts and I haven't heard anything additional so far. I have sent letter to all by now and today was the first day I really didn't receive many phone calls from them. Only Great Plains.
Do you know if Money Lion an
Do you know if Money Lion an illegal lender? I haven't found anything on them being illegal.
So I sent a letter to Money
So I sent a letter to Money Lion on Friday of last week. They acknowledged receipt on Saturday. They called me today to discuss payment arrangements on the loan but were unaware of the letter I sent. I explained that the letter was revoking ACH and letting them know that I would not be making any additional payments on the loan. She notated the account and said that I might hear back from a supervisor to close out the account.
You guys are doing great with
You guys are doing great with all the illegal lenders.
Eric- I hope you get rid of them soon.
Idiot- As per my research, it is not legal.
However, I want to suggest to both of you that, try not to incur more PLD. Taking out PLD and failing to make payments highlights that you are not able to manage your finances properly.
Try to follow a personal budget and reduce usage of credit cards to curb unnecessary expenses.
Also, stay away from PDLs. It's better to take out a personal loan from your friends or relative or company you work. And make sure you make payments on each debt that you owe.
Eric, once you're out of the
Eric, once you're out of the crisis vow never to return to pdl lenders, no matter what. Follow a budget and try to increase your income, instead of depending on credit to cover your expenses.
