FNB Marin Bank turning into Credit One

Another ? about companies not participating in debt mgmt. The bank was FNB Marin they said they do not do any type of benefits w/ credit counseling. They have now chged to BankOne. Do they participate in this type of repayment? I don't understand how they can say "NO" to a repayment plan. I am not trying to get out of paying. I have just been paying & paying & the balances go NOWHERE. It makes me so mad.

I am in the same boat as you are with FNB Marin - they tell me they don't do debt managemen - they keep calling me every Saturday morning between 8:00 am and 8;30 am est is this legal and they don't leave a message I know it is the collections dept calling. This is the second bank card I have that have changed names - they are almost like payday lenders - changing names! I keep telling FNB Marin or Bank One is what I get in the mail that I am with debt management. I am hoping they will accept T&C!

Have you informed your counselor about this? It seems they are not happy with the payment plan and expect more from you. I think your counselor can manage the situation. Perhaps they will offer a new payment plan that is quite attractive to them too.
