Make sure that you appear in front of the judge in the court date. Explain your financial situation very clearly so that he can work out payment arrangements for you. If you can make the payments regularly, creditors won't take your property away from you. In most cases, creditors can't take your assets for recovering credit card debts. There had been a chance if it would have been for secured debts.

What I have been reading in prior posts about judgements and everything, I feel I got screwed by our attorney and HSBC attorney. Should I go ahead and have the attorney keep the court date and go to court and provide all proof without a lawyer and tell him what both attorneys stated about HSBC being able to put a lein on property with me not working? What is your honest opinion? I am so confused now.

I was surprised when you said last time that HSBC will recover the amount by putting a lien for unsecured debts. This happens only while recovering secured debts.
