Dduvall, review your loan statements and compare it with the state laws. Check if Cashnet has charged more than the permissible rates. You have the legal rights to ask for a refund from the company if they have added excessive charges towards your account. Some people who have dealt with this company are discussing in the threads below. Have a look.

CashnetUSA usually comes out cashnetusa on my statement. Checkngo comes out as first bank of delaware. Can your bank trace where this payment is coming from. If you fill out an unauthorized ach on them you will probably be able to find out who they are.

I notice on a few occasions on this thread, people mention sending out Quote:

"letters"
to various PDL's. What is the purpose of the letters? It is to get them to work with you, an offer in compromise, etc?

Like many, I too am trapped in the PDL hell, and I have just recently started to back out of paying them money. I would like some advice as to what my next, and the proper steps would be, proven steps, to resolve this without any court interactions.

Dana, you mentioned your independence day from PDL's was July 3, 2006. How did you become independant and how long did it take please?

Thanks in advance all for any answers you can provide.

Regards,

S

The purpose of writing letters is to get everything documented. In some case, the lenders will deny from agreeing to a proposal. If you have everything in writing, there is a less chance of them refusing if they have already agreed to your repayment plan.

Since you have loans from the lenders, you need to work out payment arrangements so that they don't take you to the court. Draft a repayment letter and send a check along with it. They will be willing to work with you and cash your check. Be sure to check the laws of your state and know the allowed interest rates and fees.
