TG, ask your consultant what is the status of this account included in the plan. Tell him that you are being contacted by the collection agency and he sounds serious towards you. Divert the calls towards your counselor who needs to handle this matter. It will be better to keep yourself outside this matter and be an active listener. Insist your consultant to straighten this problem.

Wow thanks for the link. The man I talked to seemd like he was angry. They called me at work, the lady who answers the phones just told me I had a phone call so I picked it up. I'll have to ask her tomorrow what the man said to her. But anyway tomorrow morning I'm going to call Superior Debt and see what they say. Thanks for the advice, I was really freakin out after I talked to that guy.
Thanks again.

When a collection agency contacts you and starts threatening you
When a collection agency contacts you and starts threatening you, keep your cool and don't let them sense fear. THey thrive on it. Let them know you know your rights and request validation. Then send them a debt validation letter certified mail with return receipt.
Is there a copy of this debt validation letter on this site?

Yes, go into the books section under the our services section on the left and there is a sample letter.
Sample letter of writing a debt validation is in the link below.
Sample letter of writing a debt validation is in the link below. Send the letter through certified mail and keep the green copy in your folder. This is a proof that you tried to contact the company and they failed to respond you with the details if you want to pursue legal actions against them.

If you do not get a response from the collection agency, send a follow up letter after 30 days. If the company does not respond to your debt validation calls and have hit your credit file with a negative entry, dispute with the CRA reporting the item along with copies of these letters sent to the CA. The item will be removed from your file if your dispute is found correct. Sample letters are available in the link below

Follow up.
Ok on Thursday I called my consultant first thing this morning, she took down all the information from me. She told me don't talk to them any more and she will call them up. Well today when I got to work, the same guy called again, this time I asked the lady at the front desk to send him to my voice mail. He just left a message telling me to call him. The first time I talked to him I told him not to call me at work anymore.
Anyway, will it be ok to send these letters after my consultant told me not to talk to them anymore?
Thanks again for everyones help and advice.
I think you should allow your consultant to handle this matter.
I think you should allow your consultant to handle this matter. There might be a mix up if you both talk to the same person. Consult your counselor before you decide any moves from your side.
