its all about companies trying to cut down on costs of labor. instead of sweat shops, the new trend has become outsourcing. usually, the people in different countries that do answer you call will probably not be able to answer your questions very well either. be sure to keep your cool coz i sure do feel like letting them have it now and then.

seems like the more companies try to make money, the more they aleaniate their customers.

ok thank you i called back 1 of the numbers and it was for a sweepstakes thing and thats not waht the calla bout it i cause i remember sort of it was about a loan. but i've never been outta the state of oklahoma let alone to any college in tennesee. im guessing the collectors are using fake numbers and i found the pcc number after i posted that. so should i worry abou these numbers or just blow them off and wait and see if they call again

I think you should wait for the call that is genuine. The collector must identify as per the Mini Miranda stated in the fdcpa. There is some good information here. Read this

I get called 4-5 times from 1 800 930-6118 and noone ever answers when I say Hello they just need to stop.

This call keeps coming to my cell and only ringing once and it is happening at least 20 times a day, EVERY DAY! How on earth do I stop this, I keep trying to call the number directly and it is always busy.

Call your cell company and tell them that this number is harrassing you. Request that it be blocked from your number or ask for the feature that will allow you to block it yourself.

It's probably best this line is always busy...all i would do is CUSS THEM OUT!

That same number called my sister-in-law and said it was for a loan. She ended up giving them all her personal inforamtion including social security number.

I've been getting the 1-ring calls from this number as well to my cell phone. I hope someone puts a stop to the source as they are probably annoying a large amount of people. In the meantime, I'll settle for a block.

God damn these people, 32 times today missed calls on my cell from this number. They never leave a message and when u try calling them all you get is a busy signal.

Thanx 4 the info. about freeshoppingamerica.com. Those a**holes have been calling me all the time even when I'm sleep at night. I thought it was the government tapping my phone line or something.

I received this number on my caller id over 26 times in the past 6 hours can has any one got them to stop calling.
I called sbc to try and block the num. and they said that they won't do that.
