Ok so I know you all have heard it before, so I will be quick. I am from Ohio I have 9 payday loans out right now, 3 from store fronts here in town and 6 from the internet. All of them are due and I was laid off of work and cannot rob Paul to pay Peter anymore. The Internet ones are United Cash Loans, ameriloan, 1000 Easy payday loans, payday advance, upfrontpayday.com,cash2day4u. The store front ones are Advance America, Fast Cash and Cashland. Two out of the nine are 575$ the rest are anywhere from 260-390$ I cannot pay these on top of my monthly bills which are already behind due to the ACH debits and I have had to pay my bank close to 2000 in over draft fees in the last 4 months! I need to break this cycle! I dont sleep I dont eat, I am constantly sick to my stomach and I found this site and hope that someone will shed some light for me! I wanted to get a personal loan from my bank to consilidate but of course I was denied so I am back to square one! PLease help me!!

Take a deep breath and relax!! Do you thing getting tensed or not caring for your health will deliver any positive results? No!! You must take care of your health first. Deal with your financial problems with a positive approach. Calculate your monthly expenses and figure out how much you can save each monthly. Cut off all the unnecessary expenses from your daily expenses. Try to increase savings as much as possible so that you can send larger payments towards your lenders and ultimately become debt free.

At the present stage, you should keep your accounts current so that lenders can offer you some benefits. Do not let your accounts default otherwise the lenders will sing a different tune. If you can work out a proposal with your lenders and offer some advance money, most of the problem will be solved after they have accepted it. Trust me, some companies are really easy to work with if you can assure them payments. Slowly 9 will come down to 0 but you need to stick to your payment plans. Either you take a consolidation route or do it yourself. Here are some easy steps to help you.

Ok Janzen...

Step 1. Close your bank account

Step 2. Call your storefront lenders. Set up reasonable payment arrangements. More than likely they will work with you easily. They're a lot more civil than the online.

Step 3. Research your online PDL's on this website. United is on here, Cash2day4you (Search for Cash Today)The others are prob. around here somewhere. If not, just let us know which aren't and we'll see what we can do.

You will need to find out how much you've paid each of the lenders, and what is legal in your state. If you've overpaid what is legal, you should ask them to close your account or to set up reasonable payment arrangements if you have not paid what is legal.

You'll get through this, but the first step is CRUCIAL.

a bit of extra advice about closing your bank account.. go into your bank and talk with the manager.. see about opening up a new account and ifyou will still owe the bank money how you can pay them back.. explain to them what is going on, some banks will work with you,,, they main key is to maintain a good banking relationship since that is a critical piece to good money management

If your bank won't close the account because it is negative, you can maybe ask them to block your account of all debits. You just need to explain to them your situation and hopefully they will work with you. I had to have my account blocked, because I couldn't get the direct deposit from my second job switched over in time. My PDL's are due to hit today.

Ok so I couldn't get a new checking account because I am in the negative balance. Now I am going to contact the store fronts and see what they say. This is scary really. The PDL online are a whole other story huh!? But I need to take control of this now! Thank you all your information has been very useful please continue!

Mrs. need money

I am sorry to hear about your situation. We all are going through similar situations. Take my advice and many others will say the same thing. Don't take a payday loan to solve the existing problems. It won't help. Instead it will worsen the situation if you fail in making the payments. If you register in this website, one of the counselors in your area will call you and discuss about your debt accounts. Hopefully, there are some possible solutions in your case and it can be solved properly. Fill up the application form here and someone will call you back.

Please don't get a payday loan Mrs. Need Money!!
All it would do is make a bad situation worse.

I understand that you're in a bind..Please register!! You might benefit from consolidation or settlement. In the meantime, cut corners wherever you can..Banks are usually willing to help out on car loans. Call and explain your situation, maybe they could defer your payment for a month. And talk to your landlord. As long as you're not too far behind, they might be willing to extend your due date. Do everything you can..Even though it's embarrasing, talk to family or friends. They might be able to help out. Hang in there.

Ok so I am new here too. I just signed up today and hope to hear from a debt consolidation company soon. I closed my checking account but left my savings account open. My Pay day loans are supposed to debit tomorrow and I just don't know what is going to happen. Will I get in trouble with my bank if they try to debit my closed account?

I am in the exact same boat as you and kevntn, I just closed my bank account today and started contacting my store front lenders. The internet ones I will just leave up to T&C, the consolidation company I will be working with. Just remember there is light at the end of the tunnel, now that you are taking steps to make a plan to fix this debt, everything will look up from here. Kevntn-- You seem to be one step up on me as far as dealing with T&C, how is that working for you?

k i m---So glad to hear that you are on your way to getting out of the yucky mess. One bit of advice about T&C, they can be kind of slow sometimes about sending payments and have made an error once and sent a payment to one creditor when I requested it be sent to another. But, these were one time errors, not everyday occurences. Just make sure they send you an updated statement each month. Good Luck!

Right now they are still working it out. A couple of the numbers and addresses I had were not correct so we had to hunt those down which backed it all up a little. Other than that things or going well, I just made my first actual payment last friday but the one before that was just the payment to getting started. I asked them to update me more as we go so I'll find out towards the end of this week how things are really going! :) I actually get to see my paychecks though so that is a feeling of relief already, I'm finally in control of my money and not those darn PDL companies!
