I had some problems in the past with United Cash loans. They were making continuous debits in my checking account and without my authorization. I called up my bank and they immediately blocked their debits. I was totally unaware about it till I was searching for them and their website was not working. I also tried to reach them over the phone but the lines were not working. I will suggest you to plan all your moves while making payments to UCL. Others also have had similar problems with this company.

They will keep debiting your account, threaten with arrest and check fraud, harass people at work and references. They also send emails demanding payment requesting payment by Western Union. When they call and you ask for an address, they refuse.

I had them with my first round of defaulted PDL's and neither one of them have given me a problem. When I defaulted on them I contacted them both for addresses to send payment. They have been accepting payments from my consolidation program for three months now and neither one of them have tried to contact me.

Well essentially they are the same company. Appartently they are being investigated by the OK AG, if that tells you anything about their morality and ethics.

Helen Welcome to the forums. You need to go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. You cant stop these people by stopping payment they issue paper checks etc. You will probably have to close bank account for a while. Best Wishes Kyside38
Can they really collect on these...?
I am stunned to see all the people with problems with these companies, and shocked to realize that most of these problems could be avoided by simply reading the terms and conditions of these loans before agreeing to them. According to terms and conditions, they can call you at home, call you at work, call you on your cell, and they can keep calling you until you resolve the matter. And as far as licensure, there is a clearly stated "governing law" section in these contracts. It's just like if you live in Florida, and you want to buy a car, but you go to Georgia to get it...If you sign your contract in GA, then get home and realize that you are getting charged a higher APR than you could in FL, you still signed the contract in GA, you don't get to keep the car, and say, "sorry, you can't charge me that much where I live"...

At least with a car loan something goes towards the loan. You are not paying a "fee" to keep the car but never pay it off. Even if you lease there is a contract that expires.
Nobody here is saying not to pay them back for the amount of the loan. That is always encourged.
What we don't do and do not stand for is companies that ignore the state laws that require them to be licensed. That makes them illegal.
They also are impossible to get a hold of to pay off the loan. They will just continue to take the fee forever with no hope of reaching them causing people to have to close their account and then get harrassed.
This is your second post like this. Do you work for them or something? Do you have an issue that needs addressed or maybe some helpful information to share? Or are you just going to hop from thread to thread and forum to forum posting the same thing?

Not impossible to get a hold of, no they don't take the fee forever, reaching them is simple, I had one, and my experience was that when I realized what I had gotten myself into, I reread the contract, faxed in what they wanted faxed in, then called to confirm their receipt of my fax and got the loan paid off...Unfortunately as far as the legalities concerned, the whole tribal law thing is really confusing, but it's not about where you live, it's about where you get the loan. And by the way, you are paying a "fee" to keep the car, but in that case they just call it interest...

Ameriloan and United refuse to give me a physical address. They only seem to call after I email them for a physical address to tell me they need me to call them. It's kinda funny because I just want to pay them off.
