looking into debt consilidation

You don't mention if you have a job---I would say that your first priority is finding a place to live for you and your daughter---are you about to be evicted from someplace or need cheaper rent or what? I have a 30k a year full time job. I live with my mother. I have never been evicted or faced eviction. I am trying to get rid of my debt and better my credit so I can find a place for us to live. I just need to know where to begin.

If the counselor has not called you by this time, you will surely hear from him soon. Talk to him about your debt accounts and he will plan your repayment options. Give priority to those bills that are catching the highest interest rates. Also, you can get started by paying off the accounts with the smallest balance. Once the accounts are paid off, the creditors will update with the bureaus. This will encourage you in paying off the other accounts in the consolidation program. Don't worry, everything will be sorted out. Be regular in your payments. You have to give some time to repair the negatives and see the positive effects in your credit file. The main thing is to get started and a consolidation program will be a better way to put things under control.
