PDL in collection

I had been receiving calls from United Legal, so I asked for valadation. Yesterday I received a partial copy of the loan I had made online. The loan was with your_approved_to 1000, aka Rio Resource. My question is this, will the collection agency take any further actions? I am going to try to deal with Rio myself and use Polly's letter. I'd appreciate any advise you guys can give me. Thanks.

Did they send you any information on the payments you've already made to them?
I would ask them for that breakdown with the fees they may have added, before you do anything else.

Cover your legal grounds while dealing with United Legal. They are in the list of bad collectors violating the fdcpa laws. You must have your debt validated in writing by the company before you send any money. Most of the times, they contact with disputed accounts. You must know if this CA is doing the legitimate collections. Also, try dealing with the original creditor. They are the easier ones to deal with.
