So i am currently enrolled in Lawgistix with several accounts listed in the program. I am paying them $450.00 a month and after reading some things on here, i am worried that i am wasting my money and could probably do better myself. Heck, i have received settlement offers through the mail for 50% on some accounts from outside collection agencies. I am just looking for advice. I thought Lawgistix was my best option, but now i am beginning to wonder. I just dont want to continue to throw away $450 a month if i am not going to benefit from it.
Any advice is much appreciated.
thanks

People were not satisfied using the services of Lawgistix. If possible, cancel the contract with them and shop for another consolidation company. This might avert some of the chances of possible disputes in the later period.

You have to make the wise decisions for better reasons.

When did you sign up. YOU CAN cancel this contract..just send them an email stating that you are not interested and changed your mind.

But really in the end, it's your decision to do that, no one is telling you to stop using their services. YOu just need to really stay on top of them.

I had them and they waited three weeks before addressing a warrant in debt I got and was sued. It was for Citibank and I had to settle it on my own because Citibank won't deal with a third party company any longer, they will only deal with "you" the debtor. They waited 4 weeks to tell me that and then in the middle of coaching me on what to do, the rep vanished into thin air.....But that's my story.

Just really check out a company on here or through the BBB before getting involved.

I have read your story and those of others. I have made 6 payments to them and am on a 4 year plan. Something tells me i can do better myself. So i may just get out instead of worrying about where my $450 is going. For example, I have an MBNA account that they said isnt shown properly or is repeat (cant remember the exact wording) so they have considered the account settled for 20%. So of course, that is where my money is going first, in their pocket. The MBNA is an actual account, so i dont quite understand. Thanks for the advice.

Waste of money and time. It only gets you further and further behind, Lawgistix does not follow thru with the plan. I ended up taking out an equity loan to pay off my debts, after negotiating with my creditors myself! Do NOT waste your money with Lawgistix. I would like to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
