THERE SEEMS TO BE A REAL PROBLEM WITH ALLIED DATA CALLING PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO REASON TO BE THREATENED ON THE PHONE... WE HAVE GOTTEN MANY CALLS FOR NO REASON, OWE NOTHING TO ANYONE... HAVE TO NOTIFY AUTHORITIES IF THEY DON'T STOP CALLING AND LEAVING HARASSING MESSAGES!!
You are correct in believing that innocent people have no reason to be harassed. First before you take any action, make sure that you absolutely do not have any outstanding debt with any companies. You can discover this information through your credit reports. You may have to get credit reports from the three different bureaus just to be 100 percent sure.
After obtaining your credit report, you will have evidence in your favor just in case you decide to take any further action. You do have a few courses of action that you can follow. According to the Fair debt collection act, you have the right to tell this agency to stop calling you. All you have to do is send this company a letter in writing telling them that they made a mistake in their records and you do not wish to be contacted anymore. Make sure that you keep records of all of your correspondence with the company.
And/Or you can just sue the company. First off, it is illegal for a company to harass you even if you have debts. What kind of harassment are they committing? Are they calling you very late, or are they using threatening language? These are just 2 of the many violations that constitute harassment under the law. So if they are committing this harassment then you have the right to sue.

Hi sick of harassment
Welcome to the forums. As per your post, you can also ask the company "ALLIED DATA" to validate your debt if it really exists. Following is an excerpt of what our moderator Jerry wrote in his thread in the forum.
What do they need to provide as debt validation?
Asking for Debt Validation is not a "CLAIM" you do not owe the debt, but a request for proff of what you do Owe.
A very important distinction....
Lets say I sent you a bill as a CA for a old Medical Claim saying you Owe me 5,000.00 for it. Are you going to pay it blindly...the CA hopes so, but things to think about...
How much was the original Bill for in the first place.
How much of it did the insurance pay?
Did thye submit it in a timely manner to the insurrance Company? (MOST Insurance Companies have a "timely" subnmition clause that if it's not submitted in time it wont get process and they cant hold the insured liable for their error)
After all Insurance payments, how much of this is not fees? Interest?
Is debt being collected legally? (in SOL, is CA licensed to perate inyour state..etc)
So debt validation is a very IMPORTANT tool to use at ANY TIME!.

If they still keep contacting you after they receive your letter that you do not wish to communicate with them, you can file a case against them and get compensated for it.
Please do let us know after you have made the move towards it.

Are you delirious? You need to calm down. Why are you attacking me? You are are harassing me now for no reason at all. I don't know you. I never called you and I don't work for Allied Data.
The posts on these boards are here to help you and give you advice on the next course of action that you should take. Maybe you should reread them when you are sober to understand that the people on this board are trying to help your situation not hurt it. To the contrary of what you written, I think you owe us an apology for your actions.

Hi benjaminz6
It seems that sick of harassment is very depressed and nervous about it. I, on behalf of the debt consolidation care team convey my apologies to you for the delirium.
