Since this incidence has already taken place, it will be better to get in touch with the Office of Fair Trading or your local Trading Standards Office and discuss this problem.
Also there might some lenders' association in your area who will be willing to help you in this regard.

I don't know what state you are in, but you may want to see if your state has what is commonly referred to as a "lomon Law" that protects consumers to some degree when they purchase a used car whichis esentally used up.

How long have you had the car since you've bought it. You need to start acting fast if you want to get any type of settlement on this. You may be out what you paid (as in monthly payments), but you can certainly turn the car back in. You might even be entitled some of the money back since you'll be turning the car back in as fixed.
Please act quick as some judges will only allow a certain period of time to prove these problems existed when you bought the car.
Your local BBB might even have the person directly you need to speak with. Company phone number and name...etc.
Let us know what you find out. If you have time now, start making those phone calls. I watch Judge Judy enough to know these type of judges only allow a certain "grace period".
