STUCK!!! NEED ADVISE.
Date: Wed, 05/11/2005 - 01:23
:( I am so incredibly in debt with credit cards and medical bills. I also have attention deficit disorder and have difficulty following through with plans, keeping track of how much money I have and how much I have to spend (or have spent). I recently "promised" the credit card people that when my income taxes came in I would send $100 or $200 ... That money is already gone and I don't know where it went. I filed bankruptcy in 2001 after losing my job when I told my employer I was pregnant (got written up 5 times in two weeks for things like immature behavior)... This burden is weighing so heavy on me that I can't seem to get started at all!!! Please advise.

Filing bankruptcy is very derogative for your credit report. Make sure you are more careful with your finance in future. And don't get upset with heartless employers...it is quite a common trend. Be patient and keep your cool. I'm sure better days are waiting for you.:D
Go with debt consolidation and life will be much better.:)
Stay in touch and let us know if we can help you better. Also give us a more detailed picture of your debt burdens so that we can be of greater assistance.
Cheers,
Jason

Try this...Somehthing I have instituted for me and my wife to do.
Go out and buy a box of Envelopes.
Take one envelope with you each day and put that days date on it in your purse/pocket etc..
FOR EVERY store visit, purchase you make, ask for a receipt and place that receipt in that envelope, if it is for a place/thing a receipt is not available then write the amount you spent, where and for what on the outside of that envelope. For internet purchases...just print the online confirmation for ther total amount and place that in the envelope.
At the end of each day, enter those amounts EXACTLY as spent into a spreadsheet, financial software package(Quicken, excel, money, etc...[PM me for some possible free/low cost alternatives even])
What this will do is HELP you track your spending, produce reports of where you spent your money at and above all else asking for ro thinking of asking for that receipt makes you think about what you are spending.
This works for me and my wife and dont see why it would not for you, esp with you ADD this could be a way around to also help retain memory of what you spent.

Hi sebastiansmom Do you have a regular flow of income present
Hi sebastiansmom
Do you have a regular flow of income presently? If so, then you can try to minimize your expenses and calculate your expenses as suggested by Jerry. Keeping your bills unpaid for a long time will add burdens on you in the future.
