The pointing system is an added advantage for community members, like the bonus with your paycheck :D You are awarded certain DebtCC points for each of your posts in this forum and these DebtCC points continue to pile up. Once you have earned good amount of points, you can encash it.

After you submitted your post, did you see some points in the post screen window you earned for making the post. These have gone to your forum ID account.
