I have a question. Do the original creditors (not the collection agency) have to honor the cease and desist letter? I have sent out certified mail (with return receipt) and faxed cease and desist letters to a number of companies and until today had not heard anything from them. Today, I got 8 calls at work from the same company (payday select) even after I have communicated with them that I was with T&C AND sent them the C&D letter. Should I re-fax the letter? By the way, I mailed out the certified letters on last Thursday and still haven't gotten any of the return receipts. How long does that take?

PDL is right. Original creditors are not abided by fdcpa laws. Original creditors are easier to deal with. But sometimes it could be tough especially when it comes to online payday lender. They hide their physical identity beneath a lot of alias. PDL, can you help us find out if a payday lender is licensed to do business in my state and where can we get their physical address?

tracie08 has been searching the address of Interim Cash to send out payments, but cannot find it-

i also have had an attorney send cease and desist letters to this company and they still continue calling me. they have also called family members and friends to try and locate me...today they called and the collector stated just open your checkbook and pay you debt...do you know how to do that....when does it stop or get easier...as a first creditor i do not find them easy to deal with. just insulting and arrogant
