During the last three years I have had hundreds of collection calls from four different companies scattered across the U.S. I was able to get rid of all of them with cease and desist letters, and now enters
allied interstate. All calls have been for someone who has not lived at this address in several years and cannot be reached through this telephone number. That information does not slow them down a stroke. "Allied Interstate Collections call here as many as seven times a day (that's the current record). Sometimes the calls are taped messages asking me to call a certain number. Sometimes they are another taped voice saying, "Please hold". And sometimes it is actually a human. I never give them anything anymore, and I bombard them with demands to know who I'm speaking to and the city and state from which they are calling. The last caller, one Vanessa Quinn, said she could not give me address information "because {the person sought} has not given permission". If anyone happens to have the various address of Allied Interstate, I surely would like to have them. Then and only then, can I send registered mail and have it count for something.

Frederick

Sorry to hear about your recent problems with Allied Interstate Collections. Please give the AG of Minnesota a call about this. Mike Hatch is his name. I would also suggest placing a complaint with the BBB and the FTC.

Anyone dealing with Allied Interstate Collections, who is having problems, should make their complaints with the BBB, FTC, and the AG office. This is a company that has no morals. They've been taken to court. Please review the legal papers found below.

Mike,

Thank you for providing those legal documents for fighting Allied Interstate Collections. Is that case still pending, has there been an outcome or is that a case that's been recently filed? I had a difficult time distinguishing when it took place.

Thanks!

You must forward your complaints of conduct violations by Allied Interstate Collections to the local AG's office. Check your state laws if you can record their conversation secretly. You will like to have a strong proof against them and present it to your attorney. Remember, you have a case against them. After you win, the company must compensate you for each fdcpa violation

http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm

Read this summary page on allied interstate and you will know about their illegal practices done on many others.

Well, after a face off and a cease and desist warning, Allied Interstate Collections has dropped out. They turned the account over to an outfit out of Hawthorne, NY, called Cavalry Portfolios. Today I finally returned one of their calls to a toll free number, and I demanded to know the street address in Hawthorne. Five calls later, one after another, a young woman said "We are documenting your calls". I said, "Good. So am I." Finally they put a manager on the phone, and he gave me the address as #7 Skyline Drive. Tomorrow, out goes another certain mail package to company numbert SIX to far. Sleazy folks, these people.

They were trying to reach a "Carl Stanley", obviously not me... Allied Interstate Collections have been calling constantly for the past 2 months but never leave a message, until today! I called them back and asked them to remove my number from their list. The number I called was 231-887-1953.

I know someone here was looking for a contact number...

Best of luck everyone!

Kim

People, you need to turn the tables on these bottomfeeders. Call them back, morning noon and night and give them a taste of their own medicine. Call Allied Interstate Collections, the scum, that they are. Tell them you won't stop until they do. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THESE PEOPLE WILL GET THE MESSAGE. Numerous class actions and FTC/AG actions haven't stopped them. Make them squirm. Make them hate their jobs. I have been harrassed by them for no good reason for YEARS now. Their numbers now are 888-253-3108 and 971-228-5601. Another principle is Scott Johnson. Ask for him by name and tell him what a piece of crap he is

allied interstate is controlled by IRMC. (IntelliRisk Management Corp.) Go to irmc.com to find them.

The best way to contact them is to send a letter to their registered agent in your state. You should be able to find this online or by calling your secretary of state. However I recommend getting the evidence then letting your lawyer do the talking. I can tell you from experience they do not ignore us, and the bs stops.

OK first I have been in debt settlement industry for over 15 years, so this info is reliable and "I" use it daily. send Allied Interstate a certified letter, return receipt, demanding that they VALIDATE the debt with something that HAS YOUR SIGNATURE on it. You see they CANT. They buy the debt from a wholesale providor, and its against the FDCPA for them to transfer any of the Original Documents. However without the Original Docs, or certified copies of such, they can not legally collect that debt. When you write them the letter, give them 30 days from signed receipt of the letter to provide to you in writing validation of the "ORIGINAL" debt. Now here is where they will get tricky... they will send you paperwork for sure, but I can guarrantee that is will NOT be original paperwork but likely something they "cooked" up in house to send to you. Once you have NOT received your Original validation, Contact ALL of your credit bureaus, send them a copy of the certified letter, and copies of the return receipt. Demand that they validate the debt or remove it from your credit report. ALSO let them know that if this debt is lsited again You will sue them for falsifying your credit report. According to the FDCPA, you can get $1000.00 per occurance, per account, per reporting agency for each time a falsely listed account is put on YOUR credit report. DONT BACK DOWN, Allied interstate is one of the WORST Bottom feeders. Here is a little tidbit of Info for you... for every $1000.00 in debt that Allied interstate buys, they spend $8.37. Then they add on fees, and charges and want to "settle" with you for a whopping 50-80% of the ballance... Keep in mind they ONLY spent $8.37 per thousand. Kinda makes you go.... Yuuuuuuck......

That's incorrect. It would be under the FCRA @ $2500 (soon to be $3500) per violation, per CRA reported too. FDCPA violations are $1000 per action.

These clowns call my phone everyday for a mythical "Janet".. no last name ever given. I don't know any Janet. They, of course, refuse to take my number off their list. But instead of getting angry, I just find a new way to irritate their staff... try it out.. .it's fun! Ask them on dates! Call them a tough guy! Break out your Jerky Boys tapes and play different characters. I now look forward to their calls.

Life is too short not to have a laugh at the expense of these circus folk.

These people call me all day long. If I don't answer, there is no message left. If I answer, they call is a hang up.
What can I do? It's driving me crazy.
They're not collecting from me --- I don't owe anyone anything. Besides, since they won't talk and don't leave a message, how would I know why they were calling in the first place?

A human guy? Are you sure?

Send them a Debt Validation letter, Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested (costs about $3). The address will be on your dunning letter. They have to send you that letter within 5 days after 1st contact. If you don't have the letter, don't talk to them, except to say "I'll call you after I receive the legally required letter" and hang up. No letter? Assume it's a scam and file a complaint with the FCC.

I have gotten a call every day for the past 2 weeks on my answering machine. I only get part of the message so I never bothered calling the toll free number. Today I decided to google AI that appears on my caller ID. I have no outstanding debt so why are they bothering me? So if I call this toll free number, it will do me no good since it can't be me and the only way to get rid of them is to pay thru the nose and get a lawyer? There is something really wrong with this...

I have also been bothered by Allied Interstate. They continue to call my business fax line, and I have told them several times it is a wrong number. The lady today told me "it's not that big of a deal, and she didn't have time to deal with it",then hung up on me, well it is a big deal to me when it affects my business. So I think this is the number to the main office 800-811-4214 if anyone needs it. On the other hand if you owe them money then deal with it. Or pay them.

The best way to stop them (I've stopped 2 so far) is to tell them that you are recording their call. Make sure you get their name and company out of them and make them repeat it. Tell them you are going to give the copy of the message to your lawyer and you're going to sue them. Give as much attitude as needed...seriously what are they going to do?? Throw a punch over the phone!?

I received phone calls for Alma Lopez and Rich Willis from Allied Data Corp in June of 2006. I am now receiving calls for the same couple (plus Diane ???) from Allied Interstate 'a client services company'. The first call came in on 7/23/2009 at 4:13 p.m. and the second on 7/24/2009 at 8:19 a.m., blasting me out of sleep.

The number that is calling me is 800-652-7533. I called back both times, informed them that there was no-one at my number by those names, and requested not to be called again. Both times I was assured that my number would be removed. This last time I was told it would take 'up to 48 hours'.

What a lot of poeple do not realise is that when you call a toll-free number. the company being called has to pay for the call. Having worked for a major long distance provider, I know that the cost of the calls can be as little as 2 cents per minute. However, the pennies can add up if enough people make enough calls ....

I have received 3 calls in the last week from Allied looking for a friend I haven't seen in 17 years and lives 1500 miles away. They won't tell you anything. We've asked to be taken off their call list, we'll see. The number they callme from is 1-818-450-5620. Good luck

I have been harrassed by these people for two months. First they were calling for two people that I don t know or care to know and they kept on saying we are sorry we will take your number off the list. They would call 3 to 4 times a day for those two women. I put a call block on them and that didn't do an good they just used a different number. Now there is three people they are asking for. I talked to the manager and he got rude and nasty and said i said I took your number off our list and hung up on me. I shouldnt be harrased for someones elses debt. I even called back ,and I know that they have caller id and know that I am not any of those three woman.

i am an employee there and I understand you are upset with the way sometimes things are handled with us but at the same time we are allowed to do the things we do, when we go through training we are giving handbooks on the law for calling people and it is drilled into us. We have a whole law department that knows what we can and cannot do, and yes I will admit sometimes those calls do get out of hand. You can report us and file lawsuits but obviously we keep winning them because we still call. We have the right to call anybody to get a hold of a person to contact them. Don't make us out to be the bad guys we are just doing our job and when we call you its an auto dialer we don't choose who we call its already been chosen. If you tell us its a wrong number we have to remove your number. Just know when you do contact your lawyers they will tell you the same thing.

Wow somone,

Quote:

we are allowed to do the things we do
HAHAHA! By your boss, maybe. Not by the FDCPA or FCRA, that's for sure!

Quote:
we are giving handbooks on the law for calling people and it is drilled into us
Ah, well there's the problem! Instead of reading them, you're giving them away!

Quote:
We have a whole law department that knows what we can and cannot do
lol. You have a whole law dept. to defend yourself against your unethical and illegal business practices!

Quote:
If you tell us its a wrong number we have to remove your number
Yes, that's right - you *do* have to! BUT YOU OFTEN DON'T!!

132 - yes ONE HUNDRED & THIRTY-TWO people sued you so far in 2009 ALONE!

One of America's worst collection agencies!

So how many politicians has your boss paid off? How's the Kool-Aid?

Oh wait, you're a poor little innocent (but misunderstood) collector. My bad.

This is funny. I received a call this evening from 1-877-642-1263. I heard what sounded like a recording say something like Allied Interstate and a partial mini-miranda. Then some foreign dude got on and ask for my stepson who is 39 and has never had this number or ever lived in this house. I told the man he didn't live here. He then flipped me to a recording that said something like this call was being recorded. Bottom line is I was told this was a collection agency. I am not even going to tell him they called. This is his deal and he don't give a shit anyway.

After reading a ton of compliants about this company here is my plan:

Document this call. If they call again I will try and get an address to send a CD. Considering I could barely understand this collector this could prove difficult. I will send them the letter return receipt. If they call again I will document again. If they get shitty I will hit the intercom button and have a witness. I will send a letter again, return receipt, recapping the conversation and give them the opportunity to send my $2000.00 directly to me without them incurring further charges for my damn attorney fees. I am not gonna start taking shit like this for a bill that does not belong to me. I have my own problems to deal with.

It is amazing. When you pay a company, they are warm and friendly. When you overpay a company, trying to receive a reimbursement is like pulling teeth. LONG AND PAINFUL. The manager in the Arizona office, actually told me that he was too busy to call me and advise when my reimbursement would be issued. He sttd he has other accounts to work, and 14 people under him. Obviously Allied did not hire a multi tasked, or even somewhat organized man for a Management position. I have never heard a Manager state he can not complete a task. Wow. Customer Service went right out the door. No wonder this company has more complaints on the web about them. I feel sorry for the owners of this company, as his/her employees do not value the reputation or the integrity of the buisness.

They were calling me with a phone number of 800-720-1469. There was never anyone on the other end. I researched and found out it was Allied Interstate. I got them to stop calling by sending them a certified letter to stop calling me. I have checked my credit reports and nothing is on there about them. I have not received anything from them regarding any debt. But at least they are not calling now.
