Has anyone heard about the way they conduct business? Are they legit?

More information about Ameriloan - Jason

As stated above I have been having a lot of trouble finding a number for them to extend my loan and the time is ticking. Does anyone have a contact number?

I am not sure this company or many companies like it who are payday loans for the desperate person needing assistance are good. Ameriloan is certainly not friendly in assisting resolution of your account. I requested to pay off the loan earlier and told them to go ahead and debit the money. When it didnot show up as debited and I call to find out why, they insisted they had no record of the conversation. As a result the loan would if paid when I asked would not have incurred an additional $90.00, I checked just today becuase they still hadn't debit it and when I called in I talked with a supervisor who said it was to have been debited, but now they are waiting until my payday to do it. That was not what I asked her to do.
Personally, these payday loans are a rip off and anyone seeking to use them are placing their financial situation in a much higher risk and cost. I suggest try working your financial issues out with your creditor and avoid paying 300-400% more for a loan.

So if I have names and exts of people at Ameriloan that have left messages for me, what do I do with this information? One of them states that it doesnt matter what state I live in, they only work with OK law and I have misinterpreted the law anyway. This man said that my account would continue to be in collections. Although technically he didnt threaten me, it was implied. The other one has a woman who works for Ameriloan (who believes she has hung up on my call) reading another debtors email. What should I do with this information?

you file AG complaints with your state AG and the OK AG.this is an illegal bottomfeeder with no license whatsoever.if you paid back the principle in there fees.you owe nothing more.know that they can't and won't do a thing except call and threaten.

i would prefer your states AG.if you want file with the OK banking and finance as well as the OK AG.the more complaints the better.being as this is illegal bottomfeeding slime.they will call and threaten alot of stuff they can't do.like tell you your going to be arrested, you commited fraud, they will gatnish your wages.they can't do none of it.don't let them get to you.just file the complaints CMRRR and wait for them to sign for it.

I BORROWED $200 FROM AMERILOAN, AND THEY TOOK A LITTLE OVER $600 DOLLARS FOR A $200 DOLLAR LOAN, THAT IS SO RIDICULOUS IF YOU ASK ME, THERE ARE TWO OTHER LOAN COMPANIES THAT I'VE USED, AND THEY'RE PRETTY STRAIGHT, THAT DISCOUNT ADVANCES.COM AND CASHNET USA. I WOULD NEVER EVER USE AMERILOAN AGAIN.

Ameriloan sent the following to the BBB:

To Whom It May Concern:
We recognize this complaint asresponse to a template of a form letter circulating the Internet. This form letter is full of mis-leading and inaccurate information. Unless this customer has a specific complaint regarding the handling of their account, we do not believe a response is warranted. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

How should I respond?

I like many people don't read the 3 pages of fine print...because honestly i've taken out payday loans before and it worked like this..i took out the loan i paid back the loan plus a fee......they just take out money automatically until you schedule a payment of the loan.....so they will just continually take out $105.00 from my bank until i actually scheduled a payment with them....they have no interest in going out of their way to tell you that this is what will happen. Definately a scam if you ask me.

Well today I received a message from the BBB stating that since they sent the refusal back again and I rebutted, there is nothing they can do. The will close out my complaint and put it as unresolved. I will file another complaint stating as you mentioned before. I don't know why I didn't read it quite correctly or whatever I thought I should stay with the same complaint. I have filed with my AG's office online, but there was no print out option or file # given to me or anything, so I don't know how to inform these companies that my AG's office is aware of my concerns.

either e-mail or call your AG'S office to find out.i would still re-file the complaint.some AG'S won't investigate until they receive a certain number of complaints.

It was a temptation because they are always loading my email with their invitations. I think the first set about 5 payday loan -storefront already reported me to telecheck and I keep on searching for internet for loans. Somebody called me from A collection and Litigation company but cannot say what really the company is the they found me as fraud.. etc.. but the truth is Ive been paying more than what I owe with these payday companies. He said that a cash transfer online (don't know what it is) filed a lawsuit against me and if I want to settle this inside the court I will be paying $3,500 but if I paid them outside the court it will be $620.00. I am not sure whether they are legitimate but they know all my information and of course there has been teletrack reported against me with the first set of lenders I think whick I am negotiating now with them and with the PDL assistance but still the man who called me still insisting that I have a lawsuit and must be settle immediately. I don't know if they are just taking advantage of the situation. I've never received a notice through postal mail but he said that they sent it to my emails.. emails are loaded with spam mails and hard to distinguish which one is legit if you don't know who it came from. I'm really scared because they know my information and employer. I told them that they need to send me via postal mail the notice but they said that they forwarded it to the court but after one day I called again and discuss a payment option what is the assurance, they said they will hold the file. I really don't know that to do. Im scared they they might sue because I can't remember if I mistakenly fill up an information online. Should I settle with them and give them a debit or credit card number without any paperwork. They said that they will just give me a confirmation number if I paid them and give me the debit card or a prepaid debit card. Pls. help. I'm really struggling financially and someone is like taking advantage of it.
Please advise

You can't be sued or go to court for a pay day loan. If they're threatening you that way then no don't give them anything. Of course they have your info you provided it....ask them when the funds were deposited in your acct and get your bank statement and call the number it provides. Also these online companies do nothing thru mail so have them email you a balance inquiry and go check out they're resources and go to the website. Settling will def save you money if you have a lump sum of cash available. Also you have to give a credit card # because I know a lot won't take money orders bc its an insecure method of payment. Basically if they are threatening you w/ legal action..ask to verify more than the last4 of your social..or have indian accents, hang up immediately.

It appears my last comment got deleted. Not by me. Prob bc I was stating the real truth about these companies. This website caters to people who want to remain victims they're whole life. Not people who genuinely didn't understand the loan process...it for people who wanna go online and get a stranger to desposit several hundred into their acct then only pay back what they borrowed. That's not how it works this is america...want money? Go borrow it from your mom. Otherwise prepare to pay fees..that's business. Also have fun complaining to the bbb or fdpca or sending your court docs to the mailing address....it will accomplish nothing since WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS NOT ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They most definitely have a license that is just nonsensicle to believe they don't. I can't stress this enough it is a legitimate debt!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time read the contract ans learn from your mistakes. I hope this doesn't get deleted bc i'm trying to help and these people need a reality check....not some guy behind a computer helping them place the blame on someone else. I have a100% accurate response to every post on here I know what i'm talking about THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I had a problem with Ameriloan and they kept charging me $60 per pay period. The whole time I thought I was paying off the loan, but I wasn't, I was just paying the interest and not anything on the principle. I realized that they had accrued 400 dollars in interest from me and I still owe 400 dollars. I froze my account, paid the bank their negative balance and closed my account. Now they will get periodic money orders from me but they will never have my new account info. Just a little FYI.

why should they get anything more from you?if you paid 400.00 in itnterest then you owe nothing.i wouldn't send them another dime.btw, they will never accept or give a real address to send money orders.just know that as long as your account is secure you owe nothing.they are illegal, and you only owe the principle.any supposed interest goes toward the loan.they may claim otherwise, but again you owe ameriloan nothing.

All payday loans are aweful. I had fraud in my checking account and I was seriously negative because of the fees and the payday loans kept trying to take out the money. I called them to explain to them what happened and they said there is nothing they can do it will still try to come out. My bank account was almost $1000.00 negative. I had to open another account and work on paying this one that was negative off. The negative account finally closed and the payday loan people then said that I was in collections. They were calling me at work when I told them not to that I can not receive calls at work. They tried to say they were sending me to the DA in my area for fraud. Well I contacted lawyers in my town and they informed me that they can not because it is not fraud, they did not give me money to buy property. I would stay away from loans, learn how to budget your finances, learn to live on less, and learn to save for emergencies, and try to find ways to lower bills. I have gotten a magicjack phone, it is awesome, I pay $20 a year for a phone with long distance, I buy more store brand foods and I stick to my limit. There are more ways to adjust to living on less.

Don't knock these loans too bad, I borrowed $200 from a friend and it ended me paying him interest plus dinner. The darned dinner cost me $40, I would have been better off if I had went with a payday loan, if you can pay them back early you shouldn't be anymore in debt to them than you would so called friends, I did get a payday loan one time, and it was no more expensive then my friend or a finance company. Anyway whe nyou are desperate these loans can be a lifesaver if you will have the means to pay off soon, it is just what it says, a temporary loan.

edith ann is a shll.pure and simple.no internet pdl will let you payoff right away.in fact their business model is to debit forever.so quit it with the stupid scenarios as they are ridiculous.besides i doubt if you have friends edith, and if you did i hope they are seeing this.you won't have those friends much longer.we will not only knock these illegal loans, but expose shills like you as just that shills.
