Does anyone have any ideas about what the least expensive place to order checks from is? I only write a 6 checks a month (water bill, 2 mortgages, installment loan and 1 to each of my two kids for spending money) so I don't really want to buy thousands of them in order to get a cheap price, because they just tend to sit around for years. Any suggestions for me? I bank at BofA and Chase, am just closing my Wells Fargo Bank Account finally!

The least expensive place to order checks from is Carousel Checks. I got 150 for around $6.00, but you can actually get a half order of 75 checks for around $3.89

I just went ahead this afternoon and ordered 150 checks and including shipping the total was $6.84 ... I'll report back when I recieve them as to how the quality is and how quickly they come. The website said 2 weeks but we'll see if they get here quicker than that or slower. thanks again for the referral!

Checks are ridiculously expensive. Can't you use a debit card, instead? To me, it's a lot easier than using a check, unless you're using the checks to "float" where you write a check and hope they won't cash it for a few days until you can get the money in the account (not that I would know anything about that, lol). It just seems to me that it would be cheaper, and easier to use a debit card, you just have to watch your purchases.

Does Carousel Checks allow you to pay for your order by debiting your check account, or do you have to pay by credit or debit card? Are the checks delivered by regular mail, or do they come UPS? Just wondering because, I've had UPS leave packages at my door w/o signature if I'm not home. I live in an apartment and I certainly don't want the checks left at my door if I'm not home.

If you want to use a good search engine that will search 12 different check printing companies, go to checksmall.com
