I am not entirely certain of this, but this smacks of an illegal and fraudulent activity on the CA's part.
What CA are you dealing with that is threatening to do this? Surely they should know that if they even attempted to do that, you could go to the bank and have the charges reversed and the money put back into your account by simply telling your bank it was an unauthorized withdrawal!
Silly threat on their part, if you ask me. I'm not sure it's even possible for them to do that.

I'm sure it's Westbury Ventures. They're buying junk debt from iCollect and going crazy with their collections. I've had a few people PM me that they got this same BS e-mail from them in the last couple of days. If you revoked the original lender's ACH authorization it's totall illegal for Westbury to debit any account. Of course, that would assume they really are doing a search. Really, what they're doing is hoping you'll apply for another online loan and the application will be offered to Loan Shop or one of the other lenders Westbury owns. If that happens they'll capture your new info. Otherwise it's just a scare tactic.

I believe it is another of their scare tactics and yes it is Westbury Ventures. I have been dealing with them for 6 months now. The truth is that they have been contacted by my debt consolidation counselor and have been receiving payment from them.
I just wondered if they could find a check recovery system and get my account information?
