i currently have an opprotunity account with wells fargo ,and you need to be sure to go over every detail with them, there is alot of fees thrown at you with this account! i bet half of my check goes to "fees" , even my savings account, (which i can't access to overdraft by purchases )has been in the negative some how, yet i had money in my checking? honestly i don't have any other choice right now , if i want a bank account i have to have wells fargo due to my past banking history, however i don't like the fact that half my money goes in fees to them , when i am not even in the negative, i do feel i'm buying there lunch everyday with the money the are consinitly taking out of my account as "fees", ex $10.00 for excessive account use, don't access your savings account more than a couple times a month or u'll get a fee for transfrering money between your checking and saving!
5 years
Chexsystems will remove any report after 5 years regardless of the fact that debt is owed or not. The only way this can change is if payment is made on a debt owed to the reporting bank. In this case, there is a chance that they may not remove you for 5 years from the date LAST PAID. This has happened but is not always the case, Many times it depends on the bank.
Good program
I have an opportunity account and they NEVER hold my payroll check. It is always deposited on the pay date. The only realy difference between this and a regular checking account is the amout you can charge daily. The limit is set at $300. If you go in and make a cash withdrawal it is an unlimited amount. Great account for those with bad credit or those with-in Chex-Systems. Yes they are very strict...but they at least allow you to open a checking account. I ruined my credit at a young age and they have given me the opportunity to re-build my credit. Many banks would not approve me. There may be a lot of restrictions; but I am happy to say I have not been disappointed and have not been charged any account fees (with direct deposit or an automatic $25/ month transfer to savings).
Great to note that you had a good experience working with them!
