Credit card company calling after filing Chapter 13

Welcome Alexis :D Have you told your attorney that this company is calling you b/c you are right, once your case is filed in court, creditors are not to continue trying to collect on a debt.

Is the case actually filed yet, or have you just retained an attorney. If the case has been filed, they should have received a notice from the court, which acts as a restraining order on all collections. If they keep calling after a court told them not to, they can be held in contempt.

I would give them all of the information again---unless it is the same person calling each time. I would also get in touch with your attorney, as once you have a case number and a court date they cannot harass you and can probably be in big trouble.There is a bankruptcy forum on this site that you can check out and post questions there, too.

Evelyn, seeing the topic in which your ad is posted, I have to wonder: are you trying to give out loans to people who are in a bankruptcy? That doesn't make much sense, does it?
