During the past few weeks, my dealings with allied interstate have been very unpleasant. The combination of Allied's uncooperative phone reps and my short fuse have led to a few heated conversations. I do not want to deal with Allied on their own terms but my creditor insists that I must.

Would it be best to seek legal counsel or some kind of service that can help me resolve my debt situation within the proper guidlines as opposed to submitting to the strong arm tactics of Allied interstate.

What type of services are available to folks who want their consumer rights protected when dealing with bullying collectors. Your insights to my query would be much appreciated.

Among all the worst collection agencies, allied interstate is at the top of everyone. Unfortunately, you find yourself in a situation to deal with them. Know from your credit company is your account is sold off to this CA or they have been just hired for collections. Federal laws state that you can work out arrangements directly with the creditors if the file is not sold off to the CA. The creditor may insist to send payments to the CA not accepting money from you, but if you still want to post payments towards your account, they can't refuse it. The reason of the creditor's stiff attitude might be because of your account being in default earlier. You can convince them your role and intentions.

Understand others facing similar problems with Allied Interstate at the link below. It is shocking how Allied Interstate continues all such illegal things not fearing the federal and state laws.
