Hi,
I've received a call from Berg & Boesch. They claimed that their mechants had contacted them regarding return items from my checking accounting. They said that if I don't pay them $493.75 within 48 hours then they will my case is ready to go to court. The original loan that I took out was $200. I did tried to make payment arrangements with them but they wanted the whole amount. Can anyone tell me if I will go to jail for this?

Have you received debt verification for this? Written verification stating the amount owed, the original debtor and the fact that they were retained by the original debtor to collect the debt?
Berg & Boesch cannot file a legal case against you in the court
Berg & Boesch cannot file a legal case against you in the court unless
1) They are licensed to collect the debt in your state.
