AT&T / Cingular / Palisades

I have seen many people suffering from old AT&T debt, handled over to Palisades for collection. I cannot remember, but I read somewhere that some people had issues with Cingular too. Would anyone help me to remember this?
The reason I am asking this is I have found some info about AT&T recently, I have covered it in my blog, but cannot remember the stories that I read here. Need your help.
