harassed for years by allied interstate

My husband's brother owed his university some loan money about 10 years ago. My husband's brother lived with us for a short period of time after college, then went to Japan to live forever. He will never come back to the states. allied interstate has called us over & over again for many, many years requesting to talk to my husband's brother. We have told them he is in Japan, I even gave them his Japanese phone # & his email.

Allied STILL calls here!!! Last year my husband, 43, was diagnosed with cancer in his neck and we spent 11 months struggling to keep him alive. Two major neck surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation to his neck in which he lost his taste buds, salivary glands and 27 pounds. We have two children who were 10 and 13 AND we own our own small business. Life was VERY stressful and I was more scared than I've ever been in our 18 years of marriage. ALLIED INTERSTATE CALLED THE ENTIRE TIME!!!!! AT ONE POINT, THE REP ACCUSED ME OF "HIDING" MY BROTHER-IN-LAW!!! I WAS SOOOO MAD, I THINK I WOULD'VE STRANGLED THAT MAN HAD I BEEN ABLE TO REACH THROUGH THE PHONE AND GRAB HIM!!

When he finally hung up on me, as did this man who just called here, I sat down and cried and cried and cried. Allied Interstate took so much of my energy that day, that I was worth nothing to help my husband or kids that day. I could not believe that I was staying so strong for all of them and ALLIED INTERSTATE, NOT ANYTHING SERIOUS LIKE ALL THE THINGS RELATED TO NECK CANCER, ACTUALLY PUT ME OVER THE EDGE.

I would practically give a limb at this point to make these people STOP CALLING US!!!!!! We don't and NEVER did owe them money. We are just relatives of someone who did and left the country. We are so innocent in this and yet we are made to feel like criminals.
