My wife and I have entered into an agreement with a consumer credit company to help us pay back debts. The companys we owe have all recieved letters and have agreed to participate in this program. I would think these consumer help companys operate in pretty much the same ways. Allied claims they are working for one of the companys who, by the way has already agreed to participate in the consumer help program we are participating in. There is nothing, absolutely nothing I have said about this to Allied that satisfies them enough to stop the phone calls. The consumer help company we are with has sent them letters stating these facts but this has no effect at all.Is there anything we can do to stop the repeated phone calls? Most days it starts at 8:30am and continues into the evening,at least 10 calls a day.I just hang up anymore when they call.I would be happy to provide any further information needed.

You mean allied interstate??

They are a collection agency and you can stop them legally from calling you. A letter is to be drafted with the cease and desist communication and send to their mailing address through certified mail. Get a return request requested to ensure the delivery.

Mention the point that you are open to any written communication with them and all contacts to be done with your settlement company handling the accounts. This should solve the problem.

I would stop answering their calls also send them a cease and desist lette. You can find a template for this on my blog site (http://lashleyl06.blogspot.com) and tweak it to read that you are now working with "ABC" consoldation co and that you are demanding that they stop calling you. State the fdcpa act and many different respective agencies you will contact if they do not stop calling

Thank you so much for the reply.I will be taking your advice as soon as possible. It is bizzare to get these phone calls all day long everyday. They show up on the caller id as 000-000-0000,then about once a week they sneak in a call from a regular looking number. It seems to be so weird that it is turning into being humorous in some way.Oh well, thanks again for the help we really appreciate it.

You need to file complaints with your respective states AG office, the company in question Ag office, the FTC, the media and anyone else you can think of, make copies of all your complaints, send ONE more C &D letter with copies of the complaints and state that if they do not stop the calls you will file a lawsuit against the company. I don't think it will come to all that but you should have the cookies in the basket before you begin to deliver. Good luck and keep us posted
