why couldn't I placed my thoughts or question on the board?
My sis rcvd a collection letter from a creditor of Wal-Mart, The thing is We don't shop there, we don't believe Wal-Mart ethics, and what is really weird is her bill (collection notice) was receivd in my house, in a different city. She is contacting the BBB and hoping to find some answers, or a to file or join an open class action lawsuit. (does lvnv funding llc stand for LasVegasNevada?) It was the only state we ever purchased a bottle of water at Walt-Mart, this happened more than 8 years ago.
And is Merchants' Credit Guide CO. in Chicago Illinois involved in all this knowingly?
Ms. Silverstein

I can tell you personally that I have dealt with Merchants. My experience - decent company. Very up and up and had all the proof needed to show they were contacted to collect a debt.

I would do exactly as dbaker said - ask for debt verification. I can pretty much guarantee the Merchants will give you info that will help you determine just where the debt is from.
