I have been contacted by a Suzanna Thompson with a Bass & Associates in reference to four payday loans that I had over two years ago their number is 1-877-281-2220 address is 9378 Arlington Exp. Ste. 323 Jacksonville, FL 32225. Fax# 904-598-0207. She claims she is faxing me information to verify these loans but that was over an hour ago but have not received - these loans should have been taken care of a year ago - I called the Attorney Generals Office on a company called Pre-Litigation Services now I guess I have to do the same with these people. Was wondering what dealings any of you have had with this company and what your thoughts are. They are claiming the usual - spouted a case# against me here in Delaware for several counts of Misappropriation of funds etc. etc. and each of the agency is deeming it as theft because the loans were not paid in full and the account was closed to them to get their money back - they also mentioned United Federal Bank as the plantiff vs Me in the State of DE. What can anyone tell me?


Sounds like the usual false threats. If there was a case against you as they stated (United Federal Bank vs You in the State of DE), you would/should have received some form of summons or other relevant paperwork to advise you of this. I guess you could contact your local courthouse to find out where you can call to see if there is a hearing.

Bass & Associates are notorious for making threats like this, but that's all they are, threats. Type in Bass & Associates in the search feature on this site, and you'll find numerous threads about this company and their tactics. Reading about other members' experiences might help ease your mind a bit.

Peggy- Bass and Associates have NUMEROUS complaints against them. I've dealt with them in Jan. They gave me the same speech. When I asked for the debt in writing he refused. I would not send them a PENNY! Please do some research on this company. They are being investigated in FL (I believe). This company is 1 of the worst. They will say and do anything to get money from you. And, they will end their messages with the famous words of "good luck". I was told I was going to be arrested if I didnt come up with 2100 by 2:00 PM that day. No one has come to take me away...It is a bunch of HOT AIR!
