I am using a debt management/settelement company to negotiate and make my payments. One CC company has negotiated and will be paid off in two months. The others have not completed negotiations. Since I have someone handling the payments, can I demand the collection agencies stop calling. will a cease and desist letter work?

Tell the cc companies when they call that you are with a debt management company who will be making all of your payments for you and give them their name and contact information. Most big CC companies are so big that the people calling you are just drones at a desk doing their job and probably have no idea that you are in negotiations. They should note your account. im not sure if a c+D letter will work with such large companies, they have so many people in so many departments that it will be hard to cover the whole picture until your negotiations are finalized, but it wouldnt hurt. good luck
