We keep receiving phone calls from Allied Interstate. They never state why they are calling - we pay our bills on time and do not have credit card debt. When we try to call back, all we receive is a voice mail and never get to speak to anyone in person. My husband's sons have had financial problems - is it possible that they are harassing us about them? It is highly annoying and illegal!
It is not harassing and is not is it illegal. Allied handles student loans and often calls references. Or could you have cosigned on student loans? Try picking up the phone when they call.
By law they are not permitted to say why they are calling.

If they are still trying to harass you, then file a complaint against them to the State Attorney General or, FTC. They may harass you because of your husband???s sons financial problems.
