I haven't been yet, but answered the summons and trying to work something out w/o going. The slimeballs sent a letter stating I had not tried working with them or contacting them and have now stated that I have 7 days to respond etc...I am almost at the point to tell the slime to go for it, because I for one am sick of all the stress. I have documentation of letters and phone calls that I will gladly send them as proof. I am getting ready to mail a Certified Letter to them today.

To any one else who knows, when you go to court is it like a small court room with just me,the plantiff, and judge or are there other people in court room like on Judge Judy?
it's not that bad. I had never been to court until a few months
it's not that bad. I had never been to court until a few months ago and was almost sick to my stomach over it. The court in my county, large metro area, had a lot of people in the courtroom and some were talking to their attorneys and some were talking to the clerk, etc... It seemed like there was a lot going on in the one room. The judge called cases up one at a time and you couldn't hear what was going on. From what I could tell, there were very few attorneys even in the room. Most of the people in the room were, excuse the judgements, dirty and smelly and really just poor looking. I felt overdressed in my suit jacket and tie. The plaintiffs attorney in my case was a locally hired guy who was working a stack of files the day I was there. My attorney told me that is common in collections cases and she sometimes hires herself out to do just that. I wouldn't be afraid of anything, just tell the truth and only answer the questions, don't offer any more information.
