So I got another call from Bass and Associates who actually at the begining of the conversation they said they were from Bellflower and associates and then said they were from Bass. Anyways they said i owe them 542.50 on a 200 loan that I took out almost a year ago and have been making 60 dollar payments until Dec when I put a stop to them. They put me on this swear line to verify my info and told me if I ddin't money gram them the money they weer going to do there uploading BullS**t with my county and also wanted to get my wifes info so if I didn't pay they were going to go after her. What F-ing a-holes. Anyway they called me back today wanting to know why i didn't send in my payment and I told them i took care of it with the lender and I was not sending them a dime and she said if i did not take care of it then they are going to send someone out to verify my where about so I told her no need to send someone I will tell you where I am but you are not getting any money from me. She said I broke rules set forth by FDIC since i work for a Financial Institution. So if anyone can give me any feed back that would be great. I am not sending them any money I just thought i would let everyone know my story from these clowns. And thank all of you on this site that I was able to find and figure out the truth about these people before I send them money. Thanks again.

RT - This is NOT a violation of ANY FDIC laws. It's not even close. They are talking out of their collective (hahaha) butts. They are not "downloading your info" to any one. If you work at a financial institution, you may be in some kind of trouble if your account has gone negative and has stayed that way for a long time. If you work at a bank and your personal account there gets charged off, they usually CAN fire you. I also work at a bank, and I like to use the line "If you keep calling me at work, I'll lose my job. How am I supposed to pay you back THEN?" That usually makes them pause....for a few seconds at least. I hope this helps.

For one moment, if I have to change myself, I will pay to anyone but not to this sh*t collection agency. I just imagine how they are still doing their business without any objection from the lawmakers. This collection place violates the laws every single day and preys on the innocent people.

Rtporter, I am very happy that you are firm about not sending money to them. It looks like you have already paid the loan principal and the fees. Did you call the loan place and get a PIF letter? You should have a proof of the account having no dues.

rtporter01,

First of all, welcome to the forums :-) They are only using threats to get you to pay. They want you to be scared. This is a common tactic used by them. First of all, send them a debt validation letter via certified mail with return receipt. This way you will have proof that they received the letter. There is a sample copy in the DIY section of the forum. Their address is posted in other links in the forums. Secondly, who was the original loan with? Next, you will want to file a complaint with the Better Business Burea and the Florida Attorney General against Bass for these kinds of threats.

Thank you all for responses I really appreciate it. So about my job I don't have my personal bank account at my place of employment because I don't want to deal with crap like this on my account at the bank i work for so that makes it easier for me. My original loan was with E-dollars Direct, and i have no idea how to get a hold of them. Thank you.

does anyone have their phone number and fax number or address? I need to send them a cease and desist letter. I am having a problem with them harassing me at work and I refuse to send money to these people who are actually breaking the law and getting away with it. I want to deal with the original creditor.
