How do you get a collection agency to stop calling you, its not us they are after but a adult 39 yr old son who used our phone number years ago without permission. and now this company calls almost daily and is very nasty, we are sr. citizens with medical problems, they have refused to take us off their calling list. thank You Valerie Boucher


Send them a debt validation letter and a cease and dessist letter via certified mail. These will make it illegal for them to call and if they continue you can sue them for damages. Also, you might consider changing your phone number and keeping it unlisted or getting rid of your phone service all together and using cell phone service or cable phone service.

Welcoem to the Community Valerie :D Here is a link for their phone number, address, etc., at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/collection-agencies/about14589.html send them a Cease and Desist letter, telling them this is not your account, they have the wrong person, and to cease all communication with you. Make copies, and send it certified,return receipt, so you have proof they received it. If they continue to call you after that, make notes of days and times,etc., because they are breaking the law.
