debt collectors are not telemarketers, so yes they can legally call you.
If you are getting calls from a collector, you can send them a cease and desist letter, and request that they only contact you by mail.

If a creditor agrees to work with debt consolidation and in a written letter states that they have placed you on their internal do not call list, then tries to sue for claims is that a violation of this do not call agreement?

it is sad,but unless it stated anything else but do not call.they did an end around on you.of course they won't call,but they will sue.which bottomfeeder did this?
