Has anyone successfully settled with Nationwide or been sued by

Has anyone successfully settled with Nationwide or been sued by them. I've read all of the posts about them here and haven't found anyone who has successfully dealt with these guys. Any help would be appreciated. I think I should just send a C&D and hope Amex bounces it to another CA.
