A little more info. The company was started on 12/02/08, was owned by Tanya N. Santiago and was under the name Nelson Hirsch & associates LLC. On 01/08/09 it was dissolved and also on that date it was re-opened under Nelson Hirsch & Associates Inc. which is now run by CEO Hossein Vaziri 1510 HWY 74. Suite 219 Tyrone GA 30290.
It didn't even last a month the first time, I highly doubt it will last a second time.

December 29, 2009
I just receive a call from Nelson Hirsch & Associates spoke with a John stated a debt owed in 2004 a very long time ago. I stated for the company to send me information on this debt via email or my physical address he refused. I stated if they can't send proof of the debt in 2004 then I will not pay. He went into all these legal terms about Fraud Department, Case Number, Legal Fees etc....This is BS he asked if I was working I stated why? Asked my marital status I stated widow he said was the debt made because of my late husband, you can't ask questions like this I recorded him will turn information over to the Better Business Bureau. Please keep in mind they are a third party collections agency not a law firm.
Don't Pay them one red cent !!!!!!!!!!

This is NOT a legal firm but, rather, a collection agency. They try to collect on already settled loans. They do not have a legal claim against you, or a judgment. DO NOT send them money. In fact, ignore them all together.
They are not a Better Business Bureau (BBB) registered company. Typically, only the most dishonest and suspicious companies are not BBB registered.
However, because of the multitude of complaints against them, their BBB rating is "F". If you'd like to file a complaint against them, you can do so at www.bbb.org/atlanta.
Their contact info is:

I went through something like this with a credit collection company names Integrated Portfolio Management. They threatened me with a law suit to get me to pay $1300.00 and i did in november of 2008. In october of 2009 I found out the debt was never reported as paid, since I payed them with an automatic debit from my checking account My lawyer said I cannot prove it was to them since they used a different name to take out the money. Now none of the 7 numbers I have for them don't work and I can't find them. The better business bureau can't get in touch with them and people checking my credit think I still owe it. If a company calls you on the phone DO NOT pay them. find out what company you do owe the debt to and call them to settle. They cannot refuse payment from you because if they do they are giving you the right not to pay them-they would never do that. You have the right not to pay the collection agency but you do have to pay the debt to who ever you owe it to. Never pay someone you don't know. Never assume they are telling you the truth.

PAYLOAN - Nelson & Hirsch
I have a fax number that was given to me by a lady from Nelson & Hirsch by the name of Princess Freeman. The #678-593-2341. I am being constantly called by different people on a $450 payday loan which was satisfied over 2 years ago through a different collection agency, who took the funds from my personal bank account. I now have to locate this bank statement to prove that this debt was paid. I am going to contact the bank to see if I can get copies of all of my statements for the past two years so that I can locate this deduction from account. Do you think it is worth going through all of this to prove something that i know I have satisfied already?

no the problem is when someone wants to come on with the usual humanoid schpeil, but want to use a handle with the word lawyer in it.typical nonsense, and anyplace that does harrass lawyerman needs to be sued.which is more than a bottomfeeder can do.

:mad:They called me at least 10 times a day at my job. I made arrangements to pay them by sending the money via MoneyGram. They couldn't pick up the money on the receiving end so I had to cancel the transaction and made plans to resend it some other way. I explained to Ms. Love that I would pay them once I received my refund. Not a day after she called me at work 10 times in a row. I am asking for something in writing and all further contact will be through written correspondence only. She harrassed me so bad that I don't want to pay them anymore!

Call them to find out what they want. If it is a debt that is supposedly yours, do not give them any information other then to verify who you are (last 4 digits of your social should suffice) and to verify your address because then they have 5 days to send you a letter with the details of the debt.

Yup, these are really the con's of the cons. (keep reading to the end) Just cancelled my debit card as I "fell" for the bully, "Agent", Nelson & Hirsch baloney....that was AFTER I thought I had done everything "right" to try to check them out while I was online with them. I have to tell you...do NOT fall for the harassing, bullying, threatening ("I'm just gonna process you out and you will have to deal with the judicial system, being served and sentenced for fraud") and intimidation tactics. I actually believed that I owed a debt, which I discovered I didn't; even though I had done business with the group they identified almost 10 years ago.
I told this "Agent" Faulkner I needed to verify her info before giving her my debit card number. She gave me a telephone number and it went to her own answering machine. I explained that was not a number that would provide verification. She gave me another number "for downstairs" (different area code) and I tell the person that I was verifying someone professing to be collecting a debt....he asked my name, I gave it to him and he gave me info that showed he had accessed the account and told me he could tell I was talking to a Ms Walker (close to Faulkner; right?...I wouldn't give him the name of who I was talking to)....he puts me on hold. Meanwhile the "Agent" is screaming her brains out on the other line, had gotten someone else on the phone "Mr Tillman" and was complaining that I was talking to the wrong department...that she was with the "investigations department" NOT the number she had given me.
You would have thought I would have "gotten it" somewhere along this way; right? Nope. It became so confusing I gave her the card number while wishing my computer was working faster, because just as she was calling in the card number to give me an authorization code, I found this blog....said to her..."oh my gosh, you guys are the bad guys"... I told her to stop with the card....this was the only time I heard her back peddle a little bit and heard her tell someone in the room that I had "found the blog"...then she jumped back into threatening at the same time as she was proceeding with the card....HERE is where she overstepped the line into fraud: IF you authorize someone to use your debit card (by providing all of the info) then it can be disputed; however, it is not fraud (according to our bank); however, I was telling her to stop BEFORE it had been completely sent in.
This one claimed to be from Georgia. All I can say, as we continue to report to various state attorney generals, computer fraud, and various agencies, is I am so grateful I don't have the karma of these people. How tragic to have to live a life of such knowing con's. AND I suspect that any positive blogs on this site for this group are actually some of the "agents" FROM this con group.

I am now scared to death, after reading these posts. I have sent N & H, via checking account info, over $700 and still owe them $350. They originally called me back in November stating that I owed over $1000 for a PDL back in 2004. I informed them that I thought this debt was covered in a banckruptcy - they informed me that it was not & set up payments of $103/month through my checking account. They have already drafted over $700 & promised to send a letter or email when it was paid off.
After reading all these posts, I feel like maybe I didn't really owe this debt & am worried I am just throwing much needed money away.
Advice of what to do now would be GREATLY appreciated

Close the account immediately. Send them a letter, certified mail return receipt revoking their right to withdrawal from your account. Inform them that you want a full accounting of said debt plus validation that you even owe it, else you will take them to court for taking money they had not rights too. You should also check your bankruptcy information and make sure it was in fact included.
Did they make ANY kind of threats when they first contacted you? Tell you that it was fraud, that you will be arrested? Etc? If they did, include in the letter that you were blackmailed into the payment arrangement by threats you now know were false and ILLEGAL for them to say and that you will file complaints against them with your state's Attorney General and will sue them for the abuses of your rights under federal law.
Thank you so much!!! I will check my bankruptcy discharge paper
Thank you so much!!! I will check my bankruptcy discharge papers & then follow your instructions. They did tell me that it was fraud but not that I would be arrested.
Do you think there is anyway, if found that I don't really owe them, that I will get any of the money back that I've already paid?
You would have to sue them. What I would do is build up a case
You would have to sue them. What I would do is build up a case against them first, see how many violations you can pile up and then sue for the violations + the money they took.
Is this reporting on your credit report? If so you can pick that apart for violations.
You should also check to see if your state is a 2 party state, which means you have to inform the other party if you record the call..BUT if your state is ONE party..then you don't have to tell them...you would be amazed at how much they violate over the phone if you keep your cool and just let them hang themselves.

They did scare me. I gave them my bank card info and schedule a date paid but I didnt feel good about it. I called to tell them I canceled the transaction by notify my bank. Also if they could send me something in writting or an address where I could mail them a money order but all they say is that my case will go to the attorney's office. I said I will take my chances. Also I called Legal Aid and I adviced me not to give them any credit or debt card for payment and try to get something in writting or an address to mail payment. And of course they wont give you an address.

Yes but what would you do if someone called you and told you you owed a bunch of money for some loan you never heard of? The fact is many places get wrong information either deliberately or through mistake...it is a documented fact that some of these places use blatantly illegal tactics to collect.
If you had a good experience then you were lucky, but don't come here and be snide to those who have fallen pray to unscrupulous collectors.

Last week i too received a phone call from Nelson Hirsch & Associates #(678-593-2340) asking for my husband. When i told them he wasn't here and asked if I could take a message, they proceeded to tell me there was a fraud case pending against my husband, from a Pay Day Loan that he took out Sept. 2005 for $800, plus more now due to legal fees, and that he needed to contact him that day or they would proceed with the case. If he called them that day then they could settle out of court for $560, but if he did not contact them THAT day and he didn't show to the court date then the judge would find in favor of Nelson Hirsch & Associates. Which meant they would empty all of his bank accounts and garnish his wages 25% until they were satisfied. I told them that I would pass the information on to my husband because he was gone to school for the military. When they heard military it seemed as though he wanted to get off the phone with me, see you can't garnish military wages unless it's federal (child support, alimony, debts to the IRS), plus all of his money gets directly deposited into my account (which his name is not on, so they wouldn't be able to touch the money anyways).
Little did they know that we printed off credit reports last month, I looked at his after we got off the phone, and nothing was on there about a Pay Day Loan. Plus, granted I was not with my husband in 2005, I did remember him telling me that he had just came back from Iraq and had got out of active duty. I called and passed on the message like I told the man I would, my husband confirmed that he did just get back, had left active duty, and received a large bonus and didn't even have a job till 2006. If I'm not mistaken you have to have a job to take out a loan like that. Nothing added up, so i researched and found this site!..Thanks to everyone that blogged, we had no intentions of paying them in the first place and I have not heard back from them, but this just confirmed everything for us! They are scammers!

I worked for this company for a couple of months, and needless to say, they do use practices in which I wasn't comfortable with. I worked for a collection department before them and never in the 7 years of working there did I have to do and say some of the things they wanted me to do and say. I left because I wasn't comfortable with thier practices. I don't believe in bullying people nor do I believe in doubling a debt to make a profit. These accounts are usually 4+ years old and the company buys these charged off debts. I personally feel that if you ask for something in writing stating you owe a debt you should be provided with that. I've sat there and listened to many collectors get rude with people and brow beat them about a debt and was reprimanded myself for not being "aggressive" enough. I know from previous experience that if you talk to a debtor or anyone for that matter, with professionalism and courtesy, you will usually get a positive response. I am currently unemployed, but I sleep well at night because I know I haven't sat there for 8 hrs and mistreated someone about a debt they probably forgot about. I will say to anyone who is contacted by these people, please, please, please do not acknowledge the debt if you are unsure of it for the simple fact that in some cases this can allow the collections process to go on. There is another company out there as well, they call themselves Integrity Investigative Services. I applied for them as well, went in for an interview and listened to these "investigators" while waiting on the interview and knew right from the start, this is not where I want to be. I wish all of you well, just refuse to acknowledge the debt, be very firm in telling them to refrain from contacting you and advise that the call is being recorded. They should stop, I wish they would find legitimate account to collect on and let people live.

When collecting a debt, federal regulations prohibits the collector from disposing information to a third party. The only thing they should have left on the voicemail is the name of the company, the phone number and their name for you to return the call.

I am the person from Kansas that has posted before. I found their website and left a message on there that told them that I wanted ALL phone contact from them to end immediately. Some Mr. Morgan had called and left a message telling me that "unfortunately they were investigating an allegation" involving my social security number and my name. I left my address and told them I wanted something in writing as proof of whatever debt they are calling me about. I stopped getting phone calls from them until yesterday, when the Kansas number popped up again on my caller id. I again hit ignore. I DO NOT have a payday loan. And if it was a legit debt, why would they not send the proof to me at my physical address???? There are some people that get upset with people that owe money but don't pay. When a person(s) or company that tells you to put it on a debit card they are making it easy to take money that cannot be traced as easy as cashing a check. On top of that its illegal to threaten a person by any means. Whether you owe the money or not these people are totally out of line and can be sued by how they conduct their business. You should always be aware of anyone conducting business like this.

No one deserves to be harassed. My response to you is understand the facts that are being discussed here. No one is denying any debts. It is a known fact that companies are calling and harassing people on debts that have already been satisfied. I have a friend who was threaten to the point that she almost had a nervous breakdown. She paid the debt again just to get the pressure off of her. A few months later, she found the receipt were she had already satisfied the debt. She could not get in touch with the company who she paid for the same debt because apparently none of the information she got from them existed. This debt was for over $700. Times are hard and it is ashame that companies would allow anyone to represent with such in accurate records. Now you think about this happening to you and tell us how you felt about being harassed for something that you know you have paid and can't find the proof at the time......Ummmmmmmm
